In a world where everything seems to come at a cost, the feeling you get when you do something good without expecting anything in return—that’s truly priceless. That’s the spirit of volunteering, and that’s what drove us once again on March 8th, when a group of dedicated volunteers from Pruniș village and Cluj-Napoca came together for a new environmental clean-up effort.

This action, coordinated by Alina Chiriac, marks the third year in a row we’ve returned to the same riverbed, each time tackling a new section. Slowly but surely, we are reclaiming this natural space, one stretch at a time.
What makes this initiative truly special isn’t just the act of removing waste from the landscape—though that alone is meaningful. It’s the power of example, especially for the younger generation. Alina’s two sons have joined her on every occasion, witnessing firsthand what it means to protect nature not through words, but through consistent actions.

This year’s team was made up of 10 adults and 5 children, all sharing the same values of environmental respect and community spirit. Together, we collected over 130 bags of waste: household trash, bottles, jars, PETs, toys, shoes, clothing, and countless everyday items that somehow ended up in nature.
We were shocked to also find:
- 2 sofas
- 1 mattress (relaxa model)
- 40% of a Fiat Punto car
- rolled carpets over 3 meters long
- large rugs and mats
All these were transported to the sorting station, and we are relieved to know that this area of nature can now begin to recover from human negligence.

As the world continues to evolve rapidly, we strongly believe it’s our duty to step in and help nature, especially where development and carelessness threaten ecosystems and disrupt the natural balance.
💚 This action is a powerful reminder: Change starts with us.
One act, one cleanup, one child inspired—this is how we rebuild a healthier relationship with our environment.
