This weekend, we were right in the heart of Cluj-Napoca, at the Flohmarkt fair, a vibrant event celebrating local creativity and community initiatives. We were there to share a project close to our hearts: “The Air in Our School” – an initiative that brings technology, education, and care for health directly into classrooms.
In the four schools we’ve worked with so far – George Coșbuc National College, “Tiberiu Popoviciu” High School of Computer Science, Lucian Blaga Theoretical High School, and “Iuliu Hațieganu” Secondary School – we have installed air quality monitoring systems and built smart devices together with students that show, in real time, when it’s time to ventilate the classroom.
We’ve discussed air pollution, its impact on children’s health, and how carbon dioxide levels rise when a classroom isn’t ventilated. But most importantly, we talked about the power of small actions: sometimes, opening a window at the right time is enough to breathe better and focus more.

We truly believe that clean air in schools is not a luxury – it’s a necessity. It is every student’s right and a vital condition for a healthy and meaningful education.
