Environmental Education
Activitys in the 2021 -2025
With the support of the Cluj County School Inspectorate, I initiated an environmental education project called:
“CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU!”
During the “Green Week” or “Different School Week,” I visit schools in Cluj-Napoca and talk to students about air pollution, water pollution, and how we can better care for nature.
As part of the workshop, we carry out several physicochemical tests together on three water samples (from Lake Iulius Mall, bottled still water, and tap water) to determine which one is drinkable and what parameters need to be checked.
I believe that each of us needs to understand important information, become aware of environmental issues, and, if possible, change our lifestyle in order to ensure a better future.
I now coordinate 10 to 25 volunteers each year from among my colleagues who are eager to speak in schools located in the cities and neighborhoods where they live.
With a very good success rate — in 2024 alone, we reached over 1,300 students in 5 cities across the country, speaking to them about environmental education, sustainability, and climate change.
